Syria Project
Block 9 – Palmyride Basin, Syria
AXP Energy has secured the right to earn a 25% participating interest in Block 9, a 10,039 km² onshore Production Sharing Contract located within Syria’s prolific Palmyride Basin. The acreage sits within a proven hydrocarbon province and benefits from significant historical investment, including 1,800 km of 2D seismic, 420 km² of 3D seismic, and the drilling of the Itheria-1 exploration well.
Block 9 contains two drill-ready prospects with independently assessed gross unrisked mean prospective resources of 400 MMboe, representing only a small portion of the total contract area. With multiple additional exploration leads, existing infrastructure access, and a clear pathway toward drilling, Block 9 provides AXP with exposure to a highly prospective frontier opportunity in one of the Middle East’s most established petroleum systems.
